This is our last stop in our "back to school" shopping trip for this year!
Hello 1973! Bridgeport, CT. is changing so fast. The big department stores are not as popular as they used to be and chain discount stores are now more common. Shopping plazas and malls are taking business away from downtown as well. Wonderful old Leavitt's closed its doors in 1970.
In time, all the original downtown department stores will be history.
